Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search Tools
When you type a person’s name, location, or another term into a search box supplied by a third party, the query goes to that provider for processing. Gulf County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy policy and terms apply to its handling of the query.
Messages Sent to Us
If you email us or use a contact form, we keep the message and reply details as needed to answer. We do not share those communications outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Automatic Technical Information
Ordinary server, analytics, and advertising technologies may collect technical details when a page loads. This information helps us understand traffic and maintain the site. It can include:
- The internet protocol address used for the visit
- Browser name and version
- Device class and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring website, when one is supplied
- Date and time information for the request
Cookies
Cookies and similar files help measure how visitors use the site. You may block or delete cookies through browser controls. Some functions, preferences, or partner services may work differently when cookies are disabled.
Reasons We Use Information
Collected information is used only for operating, understanding, and supporting the site and its connected services.
- Keep pages available and responsive
- Send search requests to the selected partner
- Measure which Gulf County resources visitors find useful
- Detect and correct errors or security problems
- Display advertising that may reflect visitor interests
Government and Outside Links
Pages may link to Gulf County jail and court sources, Florida corrections records, federal locators, and private search tools. Official Florida records may be available under Chapter 119 of the Florida Statutes, subject to exemptions, but each government office controls its own site and records. Once you follow any outside link, that destination’s privacy policy governs its collection and use of data.
Advertising partners may use their own technology to recognize activity across different sites and select interest-based ads. That tracking occurs within their systems, not within records maintained directly by Gulf County Released Inmates.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal data. Limited information may be disclosed to service providers or public authorities in these circumstances:
- Search partners that process a query submitted to their tool
- Analytics vendors that measure site use
- Advertising networks that deliver or assess ads
- Law enforcement or another government body acting under a valid legal order
Safeguarding Your Information
We use customary administrative and technical safeguards suited to a public reference site. No website, internet transmission, or connected storage system can be guaranteed secure. We therefore cannot promise that a breach, unauthorized access, or data loss will never occur.
Visitors Younger Than 18
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may contact us and request its deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and the limits of information we actually hold, you may make the following requests:
- Ask for a copy of personal data held about you
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Ask that eligible personal data be erased
- Opt out of certain forms of processing where that right applies
Changes to This Notice
We may revise this Privacy Notice as practices, services, or legal duties change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date and will apply from that posting date.
